Day 01

Your tour starts when you arrive at  at Bagdogra Airport. A Car with driver will meet you and drive you 110 Kms in 4.30 hrs to the remote Himalayan village of Samthar. Alternativly you can be picked up from Kalimpong to drive 80 Kms in 04 hrs. In either case it is a scenic journey through the Himalayan foot hills with its river valleys and forests.  Dinner & overnight Stay at Samthar Farm House, hosted by retired Indian Army General "Jimmy" Singh.

Day 02

After breakfast start trekking. Trek steeply down hill, for 45 minutes through a newly planted forest down to the hamlet of Chota Suruk, with good views of the river valleys and panorama of snows. After crossing a mountain stream start a steep climb along a partially forested spur passing through a lonely village perched on an escarpment. The track levels out at the top of the spur and then descends gently to the picture post card Solug Valley, inhabited by Nepali Bhujels. It will take us about 03 - 04 hrs to reach our camp site for the day. Overnight in camp.

Day 03

Today we will trek for an hour to the remote Catholic mission at Suruk, which brought Christianity to the Lepcha tribals.. Visit the church , convent and school. Continue to Yang Gompa- a hundred years old Lepcha Buddhist temple.  The trail first descends for an hour, down to the river valley passing through the Christian “Lepcha valley”, with its isolated homesteads, Paddy fields and forests. Thereafter we climb very steeply for 02 hrs to reach our camp site besides the Yang Gompa. Overnight in camp.

Day 04

Continuing our trek,   we explore a Nepali Chetri hamlet and continue along a scenic trail for one hour to the view point at Ponbu. Stop for a birds eye views of the North Bengal plains and the Teesta River  Turning back toward Samthar, we will trek along an easy well defined track through forests and cultivation for two hours  to reach Samthar. Therafter we walk to the Lepcha Village of Kabi close by for overnight in camp or homestay. Lepcha song and dance in the evening.

Day 05

Half day exploration of Lepcha Christian village and meeting the local Bomthang ( Shaman). Walk along the valley to the Nepali village of Gairi Gaon, passing through Lepcha Buddhist homesteads. Explore village, meet people and overnight in camp or homestay. Nepali song and dance in the evening.

Day 06

Choose one of the following options:-

Option 01: Drive to  Siliguri or Bagdogra in 4.30 hrs

Option 02: Trek down to Teesta Valley in 03 hrs. Cross river on hand pulled ropeway and drive to Darjeeling ( 2.30 hrs) / Siliguri ( 02 hrs) / Kal;impong ( 01 hr) /

Option 3: Drive to Kalimpong in 3.30 hrs.
