Samthar is off the usual tourist circuit. The surrounding area is ideal for a walking holiday, away from crowds. You can visit ethnic villages inhabited by friendly Lepcha, Nepali and Bhutia families. The views are unforgettable, and the photo opportunities are many. There is always a chance for informal interaction with the village folks. Our local guide will introduce you to the local folks, their beliefs and customs.

We have several one - day easy to moderate treks and walks available. The choice enables all age groups to enjoy the countryside. Trails lead to picture post card ethnic homesteads, vast forests, meandering mountain streams with cascades and pools, deep valleys, a 100 years old Lepcha temple, and a catholic mission.
